This concept introduces custom heritage plaques for Gastown, celebrating the district’s architectural legacy and cultural significance. Inspired by Vancouver’s official heritage plaque program, the design integrates the city’s signature V-shaped marker and wave motif from the civic crest to maintain visual continuity with existing heritage elements. Materials such as bronze, glass, and weathered metals were explored for their durability and compatibility with Gastown’s historic character.
