INTERPRETATIVE PANELS
Project: Interpretive Panels
Location: Vancouver, BC
Client: Grout Mctavish
Completion Date: 2020
Project done in collaboration with EDG Experience Design Group Inc.
In collaboration with Grout McTavish and author John Gray, our team helped design and develop the interpretive master plan, and manage the fabrication and installation of a series of panels along the Canada Place promenade.
The interpretive program takes a regionally focused narrative approach, presenting lesser-known stories and local legends that reflect the diversity and depth of Canadian culture. From the curious tale of Coleman’s Frog in New Brunswick to the quirky tradition of the Sour Toe Cocktail in the Yukon, each panel invites visitors to discover unique individuals and events that have helped shape the country’s identity.
Additionally, we created three dedicated panels to honour the local First Nations communities, Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, and Musqueam. These panels share the rich histories of each Nation, developed in close collaboration with the First Nation Elders to ensure respectful, accurate, and meaningful representation.
